Tyson D. Carlson, LHG
Senior Project Hydrogeologist

AREAS OF SPECIALIZATION

» Water right evaluation and permitting

» Aquifer characterization

» Contaminant fate and transport modeling

EDUCATION

BS, Environmental Science, University of Arizona

MS, Hydrology, University of Arizona

Mr. Carlson has 6 years of experience specializing in the evaluation and permitting of water resources, aquifer characterization, and contaminant fate and transport. One particular area of expertise is applying the water code and pertinent policies in the investigation and appropriation of State waters. In addition, Tyson uses his keen analytical skills to develop conceptual and numerical based models of hydrogeologic systems depicting groundwater-surface water interactions, saline intrusion, water availability, and well hydraulics. These models have enhanced the design of groundwater treatment systems, construction dewatering systems, and sediment caps, as well as helped determine water availability and well interference effects.
