Tyson has 11 years of water resource development and water rights experience. Serving private and public sector clients, Tyson’s water rights experience includes both new appropriations and transfer/change of existing rights — including use of Washington State’s Trust Water Right Program (TWRP) for purposes of instream flow, habitat, and mitigation through water banking. He applies his strong background in analytical and numerical groundwater modeling to develop site-specific conceptual models describing groundwater-surface water interaction, saline intrusion, well hydraulics, and aquifer sustainability. Tyson’s groundwater modeling skills are also used in large-scale hydrogeologic characterization projects such as regional tunnel alignments, contaminant fate and transport modeling, and construction dewatering design.
Outside of the office, he can be found skiing the deepest
of Cascade powder, on his bike, or fly fishing his favorite waters.
