EDUCATION

MS, Geology, The Jackson School of Geosciences, The University of Texas at Austin

BS, Geology, Louisiana State University

A recent graduate from The Jackson School of Geosciences, The University of Texas at Austin, Landrum received his Master of Science degree by executing a complete geochemical study of the arsenic and antimony-rich geyser waters and mineral soils of El Tatio, Chile. He designed and implemented a novel sequential extraction method to characterize the mobility of metals in the basin soil, water, and vapor phases. While conducting his MS research, Landrum also evaluated water quality and public health in the Brazilian Amazon (Para, Brazil), conducted geochemical field studies in hydrogen sulfide caves (Kane Cave, WY), and worked on a variety of field projects in Texas, Louisiana, and Mexico. Landrum specializes in groundwater quality analysis and interpretation, hydrogeologic field methods, environmental monitoring, and computational geochemical modeling. Since joining Aspect Consulting in June 2007, Landrum has been conducting a feasibility study for aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) in the Wanapam basalt formation of Goldendale, WA. He is also monitoring arsenic mobility in the Des Moines Creek basin near SeaTac Airport, as well as executing a variety of other environmental remediation, water resource, and geotechnical investigations in the Puget Sound area.
