Since joining Aspect in 2006, project engineer Mike Nelson has worked on FS, remedial design, and cleanup action projects. Mike has experience in remediation implementation, construction, and start-up experience, which includes the installation of a permeable reactive barrier, four soil vapor extraction systems, several chemical oxidation injections, UST removals, and excavations. Mike has considerable experience performing soil vapor extraction and air sparging system installation, monitoring well installation, soil and groundwater sampling, and indoor air sampling. His expereince also includes modeling the fate and transport of petroleum hydrocarbons in the subsurface, characterizing environmental sites, creating conceptual site models of exposure pathways and receptors, and managing environmental databases.
