Arrival of Aspect Consulting Alters Pacific Northwest Landscape [continued]

Aspect Consulting was formed by the senior employees’ purchase of the Bainbridge Island office of Associated Earth Sciences. The purchase marks the realization of a vision to pursue a distinct market focus and enhance core earth science and engineering capabilities. “This team has worked together since 1995 and this transition strengthens what I consider a very strong foundation,” says Mark Shaffer, cofounder and Associate. “We made a smooth transition with our existing long-term clients in launching Aspect, which allows us to continue our steady growth. We’ve experienced strong demand for our in-depth perspective and we foresee continued opportunity. Water resources, sensitive geologic settings, and soil and water quality restoration are critical issues in our developing region.” Aspect Consulting provides these focused services for clients including the Port of Seattle, King County, Calpine Energy, City of Bellingham, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and a number of prominent regional law firms.

Aspect Consulting has a staff of 20 in its Bainbridge Island location, integrating the skills of hydrogeologists, geological engineers, geotechnical engineers, and civil engineers. Aspect’s depth of knowledge in these focused areas has the added benefit of making the firm a desirable teaming partner. Flynn adds, “Working as a group, we identified three key points that define Aspect — high quality, technical focus, and collaboration. We think that sums up our position in the earth science and engineering marketplace quite well.”
