Congratulating Aspect's Newest PE: Mike Nelson
Civil and environmental engineer Mike Nelson recently earned
his PE. Since joining Aspect in 2006, Mike has been involved in some of
the firm's most significant environmental projects including Seattle Art
Museum's Olympic Sculpture Park, Barbee Mill and Quendall Terminals redevelopment
on Lake Washington, and the new Gates Foundation headquarters at the Seattle
Center. Recently, Mike has been providing design, installation, and performance
monitoring of Soil Vapor Extraction systems for an in-city Seattle former
dry cleaners site and a Moses Lake area truck stop. He has also been providing
preliminary engineering design for design and construction of a permeable
reactive barrier (PRB) wall effective in destroying solvent-related contaminants
in groundwater at a site in Mill Creek. Mike holds BS and MS degrees from
Virginia Tech.
