August 27, 2008Aspect to Work with port of Bellingham on RI/FS Aspect Consulting, LLC was selected by the Port of Bellingham to conduct a Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study (RI/FS) for the former Georgia Pacific Mill Property in Bellingham, Washington. Acquired by the Port in January 2005, the former Georgia Pacific Mill is part of a historical waterfront industrial property that is currently undergoing evaluation for rezoning with a transition to mixed use redevelopment. The property is currently listed by the Washington State Department of Ecology as requiring remediation under the Model Toxic Control Act (MTCA). Aspect will assist the Port in the development of
an Agreed Order(s) with Ecology, develop a strategy for conducting RI/FS
work, and perform RI/FS work as required under MTCA.
