Close Finishes and Bronze Bike Pedals Highlight Aspect’s Bike to Work Month

More than half of Aspect took to two wheels in May to compete in the 2010 Group Health Commute Challenge. Riding in the rain and even on the weekends, 23 employees formed three teams that biked a total of 2,848 miles – besting their 2009 total of 2384 miles by 464 miles.

In the closest finish in the company’s three-year history of the event, team Saddlesaurus Rex battled team D’Monget to the very last week before Saddlesaurus Rex pedaled to a narrow 20 mile victory – 1059 to 1039 miles. The third team, Full Pedal, made a very respectable finish and their total distance of 750 miles nearly reached the mileage total of last year’s top Aspect team (771 miles). Claiming the top individual rider title, Amy “Vanilla” Tice pedaled an impressive 319 miles.
