Ellensburg - Gateway II Stormwater Retrofit Funding, Design, and Construction

Aspect is leading a project to complete 0.8 miles of roadway, stormwater, and corridor access improvements in Ellensburg. With grant development support from Aspect, the City of Ellensburg obtained $5M of Ecology funding to improve water quality within Lyle Creek, Wilson Creek, and the Yakima River through the design and installation of stormwater treatment facilities along both sides of the road. Stormwater retrofits will treat approximately 2.6 acres of existing pollutant generating roadway that currently drains untreated runoff to Lyle Creek. Aspect is leading all permitting and design elements, which include widening the roadway to four lanes, bioinfiltration swales, conveyances, and permeable sidewalks.
